Overview
Tucked along the coast of Baja California, Ensenada is a beautiful mix of ocean breeze and Mexican charm.
The moment I arrived I was greeted by the salt air and Ensenada’s scenic waterfront. I walked along the boardwalk, watching local vendors selling everything from handmade jewelry to shark skulls. My trip was packed with adventure, taking a short trip south of town to visit La Bufadora, one of the largest marine geysers in the world. Taking a photo while in the background, exploding ocean spray while local vendors hyped up the crowd was such a fun experience.
This city felt so alive, full of flavor, energy, and moments that don’t feel staged for tourists. Hearing live ranchera music under fairy lights, not a concert, just three men with guitars while kids danced in the street.
Tip: Bring a camera with manual settings or a digital camera. The light in Ensenada is warm and golden, especially in the late afternoon, making every shot look like a memory. I wish I brought a better camera!
